Che Gaucho is an Argentinian-Uruguayan restaurant that is a bit secluded and easy to pass by but is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Charlotte. I go about once a month to eat their mouth-watering parilladas which in my opinion is the dish you need to order when you go.
Argentina is known for its juicy, tender, delicious meats and of course, soccer which is why when you enter the restaurant it is fully decorated with frames of famous soccer players (some with autographs), jerseys on the ceiling, and a soccer match is most likely playing on one of their TVs.
A parrillada is a variety of grilled or barbecued meats and is one of the specializations of Argentina. Che Gaucho offers a parrillada for 1-3 people, including beef short ribs, flank steak, beef small intestine, blood sausage, sausage, and grilled chicken. Along with the parrillada you choose two of the following side dishes: rice, french fries, potato salad, or salad. This is the best option to try their different meats and see which one you like best so the next time you can order that specific meat as your main dish.

For drinks, I usually order the jugo de mora (blackberry juice) or jugo de maracuyá (passionfruit juice). I have never gotten desserts there but they do have a fridge display with various pastries.
Lastly, be on the lookout for any events they may have, such as viewing el Classico or the World Cup. I went one year for Mother’s Day and they invited singers dressed in traditional clothing who sang for us as we ate and it soon turned into a karaoke session and every table was singing along to the classics such as Cielito lindo, Amor enterno, Querida, etc. It was a great night so call beforehand to see what events they are holding!
